ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND POLICIES

In response to the growing awareness of resource depletion and the urgent need for environmental conservation, Techno Group is committed to building a future that is both economically and environmentally sustainable.

By making responsible choices, focusing on waste reduction, recycling, and raising awareness, we strive to promote ‘Greener Living’ for a more sustainable world.

Sustainable Procurement:

Our products are sourced from organized, reliable, and ISO-certified manufacturing units that maintain robust Quality Management Systems. These units are not only dependable but also efficient and effective in their operations. When selecting a manufacturer, we consider not only the quality of their products but also their business practices and ethical standards. We prioritize sustainability and adherence to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) guidelines, ensuring that our partners share our commitment to a greener future.

Transport:

Wherever possible, we opt for sea shipments over air transport and, when feasible, suggest products sourced closer to reduce our carbon footprint. We encourage Full Container Load (FCL) shipments to maximize freight efficiency and continue to optimize packaging for maximum loadability. For road transport, we collaborate with reputable transport companies that regularly check their vehicles for emission levels, ensuring environmentally responsible transportation.

Products:

We are dedicated to offering environment-friendly alternatives whenever possible, helping customers make informed, sustainable choices. This includes promoting reusable or biodegradable products, such as sanitary pads, wooden toothbrushes, and tissue rolls made from recycled paper. Many of the products in our portfolio are crafted from recycled materials. Together with our suppliers, we continuously work to increase the use of recycled materials without compromising product quality. Currently, we offer up to 30% recycled material in Jerrycans and Oxfam buckets, and up to 100% in blankets.

Packaging:

We prioritize sustainability in our packaging practices. All packaging materials that come into our factory and warehouse, such as pallets and corrugated materials, are reused. For containers, lashing is done using recycled materials, which are fumigated when applicable. We avoid single-use plastics—items like blankets, tarps, and mats are packed without individual plastic wrapping in the bales. For kitchen sets, we use only paper inserts where necessary and ensure all cartons are non-white (unbleached) with minimal printing, typically in a single color.

Our Surroundings:

We ensure that the local environment around our production sites is not harmed by pollution. All waste generated is either reused or reprocessed. At Techno Tarp & Polymers Pvt Ltd, our tarpaulin factory has a recycling plant that reprocesses waste material, which is then used to manufacture new tarpaulins. A substantial portion of the power required for the factory comes from our solar power installation, and we are working to increase this percentage in the near future. We harvest rainwater for factory use and have created green surroundings within our facility to foster a more sustainable environment.

Our offices:

In our offices, we encourage small yet impactful sustainable practices. This includes turning off electrical devices when not in use, promoting carpooling and public transportation, minimizing paper usage, and maintaining a green, eco-friendly environment around our premises.
